Dispatches from Tijuana — Land of “Lucha Libre,” Bullfights, and more…

As part of an ongoing photography project along the U.S.-Mexican border, we are seeking to document Mexican bullfighting as well as wrestling — Lucha Libre — in Tijuana over the next few months. This project blog is part of the creation of a photo exhibit called “Border Color,” which is nearly ready for posting, at least in part.

In this area I will be posting excerpts from my books about protocol and business practices in non-western countries. My best book is called “When Business East Meets Business West,” published in 1993. My last book (I think there were 10 in total) was published in 1998. Indeed, I made a decent living for a decade writing books and conducting seminars based on them, and enjoyed every minute. Here, I will post tips and advice for traveling artists that might keep you out of trouble, and certainly make you more effective when working in countries other than the U.S.
